In the summer, I created a short dance film with Jordan Allen, Autumn BC, Ericka Morton, Austin Shaffer, and Hayden Summers. A lot of dedication went into this and I’m so so grateful to have worked with these talented, beautiful people!!

The research was a large portion and we divided the film into three concepts that would support the film as a whole. We called these sections: War, Violated, and World on Fire. This piece was an exploration of these ideas and what emotive qualities came in result of the research. In the middle of unrest and injustice in Ukraine, Roe vs Wade being overturned, and the climate crisis, we made this piece as a reflection of the media and the the overwhelming flood of tragedies.

A piece is never done, and there’s so many more edits I would make. Interpret what you will and take away what you can, the conversation starts with art.
